Article: Montauk Golf League

Montauk Golf League
The Montauk Golf League is built around a simple idea: golf is better when it brings people together.
Played at Montauk Downs, the league is less about formality and more about the rhythm of summer in Montauk. Late tee times, long evenings, familiar faces and just enough competition to keep things interesting. Some players have been around the game for years, others are newer to it. Handicaps vary, backgrounds vary, but everyone arrives for the same reason: to play.

What makes the league special is the community around it. It brings together locals, weekenders, friends and newcomers in a way that feels natural to Montauk. The competition matters, but so does everything around it—the walk between shots, the conversations, the post-round drinks and the stories that build over the course of a season.
There is something democratic about golf when it is played this way. Different ages, different levels, different approaches to the game, all sharing the same course and the same few hours of daylight.
For Birdie Birdie, the league represents the kind of golf culture we believe in: social, open, competitive without taking itself too seriously, and connected to the place where it happens.
Montauk Downs gives it the setting. The people give it its character.
