The Bird House

The Bird House

Birdie Birdie was never meant to be just a golf shop.

The idea started with something simpler: create a place we would actually want to spend time in. Somewhere you could stop by before a round, stay too long after one, discover something you didn’t know you needed, put on a record, talk golf, talk Montauk, or not talk about golf at all.

Our first store is our home base.

It’s intentionally analogue. Records instead of playlists. Old photographs instead of screens. Wood, brass, books, objects, clothes, clubs and things collected because they have a story. Nothing moves particularly fast in here, and that’s the point.

Golf has always been about more than the scorecard. It’s the walk, the people, the places, the rituals, the clothes, the bad shots you remember longer than the good ones. Birdie Birdie comes from that same idea. We’re building around the culture that surrounds the game, not just the game itself.

The store has quickly become a meeting place. Friends come through. People heading to Montauk Downs stop in. Someone puts a record on. Someone else tries a putter. Stories get traded. Plans get made. Sometimes people buy something.

That part matters to us.

Because as Birdie Birdie grows, we don’t want to lose the feeling of a small place where people know each other. We want to take that feeling further.

Montauk is chapter one.

This is the first physical expression of Birdie Birdie, but we see a much bigger world ahead: more places, more products, more collaborations, more tournaments, more reasons to bring people together. Each one can feel different because every community is different, but the idea stays the same.

Local first. Personal. A little imperfect. Built around people.

We think the future can get bigger without becoming less human.

So this store at the end of Long Island is both a beginning and a blueprint.
